October Grade: Expedition Level Accessibility: Open synopsis: It has an altitude
of 6001m and this beautiful peak is located in the mountain Range known as Pir Panjal. It has an large ice cap, the real climb
is a snow hump which is approachable once you reach to the edge of ice plateau. It crosses the mark of 6000m which is an achievement
for climbers. Several attempts were made to climb this peak and finally J. de V. Graaf with his wife and K.E. Berrill reached
on its top in 1952.
Mulkila or M4 peak
Height: 6517 Location: Milang nala – Lahaul – Himachal

Union of Students team led by L. Krenek climbed it for the first time in 1939. They approached Mulkila from Milang and numbered
the peaks according to the nala. M1 etc for the peaks of Milang nala, KR for the peaks on Koa Rong and finally T for the peaks
of Tela valley. Apart from Mulkila which was their main aim the team climbed M3 and M7 as well.

Bruce along with Swiss guide Heinrich Fuhrer and some Gorkhas from the regiment made the first ascent over Hanuman Tibba in
1912. they climbed the Solang nala first and finally made it to the peak. Second ascent to the peak was a team led by Pettigrew
in 1966 by its south ridge.

attempt.
