“The Himalayan trekking was extremely magnificent. Our Guide knew the ways of the mountains and everything in it. Our food was great and was never a problem. Even my 12 YEARS OLD DAUGHTER loved and enjoyed it. Himalayan trekking is wonderful and I would recommend POTALA Adventurers to everyone ".

Nagveni Manjunath – Toranto -- CANADA -- 09 July 2010

“The trek to Deo Tibba was a soul-finding experinece for me and the kids. They will surely remember it for a long time, and later on in life realize how it brought them close together. For me, it was a different experience. I learnt a lot. I learnt the meaning of quality of service, work ethic, the elevation of guests (us) to a status far beyond what I have ever enjoyed. For that I am grateful to our guide Ravinder (also called Virender) and to our helper Anil and cook Tashi. Our horseman who took a low key place deserves great praise for just doing his (very crucial) job very quietly. As the weather turned bad, the quality of service got better. I remember when the water flooded our tent; ravinder dug a turret around it to keep the water flowing around the tent, not into it. All this is sub-zero weather. My daughter will never forget the hot steaming soup and the four course dinners served with enthusiasm and a smile. POTALA Adventurers people take great pride and pleasure in doing their jobs well. It is a rare thing and the purity of their satisfaction at making us comfortable, come rain or shine or snow, is a humbling experience. I also think it is a dying culture, because very few people take pride in their work, above and beyond the call of duty. So I am grateful to POTALA adventurers for keeping it alive. It is so much part of what I admire of your hardy Pahadi culture. The Pahari people are honest, forthright and proud, and do not compromise the quality of service. From the first moment I felt secure about taking my three kids with me (something that my wife always worried about). I learned a lot from Ravinder about botany and the treasures of nature. He reminds me of the character in the Kurosawa movie " Dersu Uzala: The Hunter" (please tell him to watch it -- he will relate to it like no one else can). We didn’t just have a great time, we came away much richer with the experience. And yes, the splendor of the Himalayas is a breathtaking sight to behold. There is a reason the Gods live there ".

"Formally having trekked to Beas Kund on 16.10.09, I have returned with more friends who were hungry for adventure. Deo Tibba trek has satisfied us in every way. I have experienced everything I have set out for. Passing through forest, hiding in caves during hail storms and walking against snow fall. The best moment was conquering peak Raudi Khodi on 29.05.10 with my friends.

Our Guide Virender ( same guide on Beas Kund ) made it as amazing as it would be. Sheru our cook was just as good a code of Bheem of Mahabharat. We have renamed Tenzin Adventure. I thank a lot for giving us everything we needed. Will keep coming back to Tenzin and Virender".

“The 4 nights 5 days trek organized by Potala Adventurers was an excellent experience for us. All the arrangements were great right from pick up at the Manali station to the food on trek.

The itinerary was tailored to our requirements with Tenzin being flexible to accommodate to our change in schedule.

We had an excellent time thanks to our guide – Mr. Ravindra who was very patience and also was very knowledgeable about the local community, flora and landscape. It was a great learning for us to go on the trek with him.

Again many thanks to Tenzin and his entire team for a wonderful holiday highly recommended. Regards"

Day 1

Greeted by really friendly people. Our Guide Ravinder Ji was absolutely amazing. The trek started off with the million never ending steps but we soon reached. The real and awesomely beautiful forest and that’s when the real trek began. The food at the camp was probably the best food I have ever eaten. Our cook Tashi was like a master chef.

Day 2

The trek continues. We moved through what can be best described as the most beautiful landscapes that we can come across. The service as always was really good. Hot food & warm beds. Nothing can match that experience.

Day 3

RAIN & SNOW

We were freezing in our tents coz it started snowing outside but the service did not stop. We were freezing in our beds but were greated with huge smiles & really good & hot food.

Day 4

The weather was really bad & we had to cancel our trek but the service was still first class. Now I have to come back to finish the trek.

Thank You

Kunal Gawande

“We had a splendid trek from Potala Adventurers. We came to this agency on the recommendation of some friends and were not disappointed. The food was excellent and every effort was to make sure we were comfortable and happy at all times. It’s amazing how much difference a sensitive and caring guide can make to the trek and we learnt many things about local culture in our chats around campsite. Many thanks and see you again soon".

We went on a four day trek. We had a really good time. The trek was up to the Deo Tibba base camp. We slept in the cave which was lots of fun. I really recommend POTALA adventures. Very good trekking, lots of fun and we never got lost even in the big snow and without day light. Very good adventure.

Ladakh to Spiti trek and climb of Kanamo peak

“I have completed the Parang la trek from Karzok to Kibber and Kanamo peak from 08 Aug. 2011 to 20 Aug. 2011 organized by Potala Adventurers, with leading Guide Umesh and assistant Guide Ravinder. They are professional, experience, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.  Umesh has assisted me several times on the river crossings and willing to wait for me, as I am always walking slowly. With no complaints, and also give me support with encouragement on passing the Parang la pass and on the Kanamo peak and give full support on during the road blocking on the Batal – Chatru. He also shared with me of his climbing experience and others about the regional history & culture to make the trip interesting.  Ravinder served as assistant guide but also acted as cook on the trek. He has done a good job on cooking includes breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack and dinner. I like much of his fried rice and noodles, potato chips and mixed veg. He also clean up campsite area and burnoff the garbage before leaving, in support of the eco-tourism.

I also like to thank you Tenzin Ningbo to secure me the bus ticket New Del / Manali / Del and the booking on the sunshine guest house which provide me the comfortable and nice stay. As well as to Ningbo for all his support me during my stay in Manali.

Last but not least, I would like to thank you Mr. Prem Singh of Potala Adventurers to well organize of this trek, the trek is challenging and overall the trip is rewarding, especially on the Spiti valley tour. I would like to come back very soon in the near future for another trek”.

Manali: Beas Kund trek and Solang valley - 3 nights 4 days

Mr. Prem Singh,

Thanks for organising the trek - from our perspective it was very enjoyable and met our objective of a light and comfortable trek. I would definitely like to recommend your name to anyone going for a trek starting from Manali and especially highlight the flexibility you offered in organising a cost effective trek for only two people, the good and hot food and courteous and helpful staff.

We are currently planning another trek (after 1-2 months), may be to Hamta pass, with a group of 2-4 people. Will be in touch with you for the same.

Once again thanks very much for a memorable experience.

Manali: Hampta Pass Trek

Potala Adventurers has gone out of the way to make my Hamta pass trek truly memorable.  The Guide and porters were true professionals. They were able to assist me in providing information to questions I have and also helped me cross steep glaciers along the way. This is crucial for me, having little experience walking in ice. I also wish to compliment them on the elaborated food dished out everyday and appreciate the extra blankets when weather turns cold. I also deeply appreciate the company for helping me make pre and post trip accommodation and onward travel arrangements without being asked and providing invaluable advice.

David L. – SINGAPORE – 11 June 2011

I went on the Hamta pass trek in early June.  I had not read much about the trek before I left, so I didn’t know what I had coming. I was positively surprised with the good knowledge the Guide had about the areas we were passing through.  He seems to have real passion for mountains and trekking, which was really encouraging for me. The cook did his best to provide us with the nice dishes as far as it could be done.  All the staff on the trek acted professionally in every situation, even when my trek partner was forced to make decision to return with the porters. The cook and the Guide did their best to serve me the food I needed on the last two days of the trek, although we didn’t carry any cooking equipment with us. The tent and sleeping bags we were given were also just right for the wind and weather conditions. Altogether an amazing experience I won’t forget.
