Ladakh to Spiti trek and climb of Kanamo peak

“I have completed the Parang la trek from Karzok to Kibber and Kanamo peak from 08 Aug. 2011 to 20 Aug. 2011 organized by Potala Adventurers, with leading Guide Umesh and assistant Guide Ravinder. They are professional, experience, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.  Umesh has assisted me several times on the river crossings and willing to wait for me, as I am always walking slowly. With no complaints, and also give me support with encouragement on passing the Parang la pass and on the Kanamo peak and give full support on during the road blocking on the Batal – Chatru. He also shared with me of his climbing experience and others about the regional history & culture to make the trip interesting.  Ravinder served as assistant guide but also acted as cook on the trek. He has done a good job on cooking includes breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack and dinner. I like much of his fried rice and noodles, potato chips and mixed veg. He also clean up campsite area and burnoff the garbage before leaving, in support of the eco-tourism.

Manali: Beas Kund trek and Solang valley - 3 nights 4 days

Mr. Prem Singh,

Thanks for organising the trek - from our perspective it was very enjoyable and met our objective of a light and comfortable trek. I would definitely like to recommend your name to anyone going for a trek starting from Manali and especially highlight the flexibility you offered in organising a cost effective trek for only two people, the good and hot food and courteous and helpful staff.

We are currently planning another trek (after 1-2 months), may be to Hamta pass, with a group of 2-4 people. Will be in touch with you for the same.

Once again thanks very much for a memorable experience.

regards,

Rajat and friend - 18 June - 21 June 2011

Manali: Hampta Pass Trek

Potala Adventurers has gone out of the way to make my Hamta pass trek truly memorable.  The Guide and porters were true professionals. They were able to assist me in providing information to questions I have and also helped me cross steep glaciers along the way. This is crucial for me, having little experience walking in ice. I also wish to compliment them on the elaborated food dished out everyday and appreciate the extra blankets when weather turns cold. I also deeply appreciate the company for helping me make pre and post trip accommodation and onward travel arrangements without being asked and providing invaluable advice.

David L. – SINGAPORE – 11 June 2011

I went on the Hamta pass trek in early June.  I had not read much about the trek before I left, so I didn’t know what I had coming. I was positively surprised with the good knowledge the Guide had about the areas we were passing through.  He seems to have real passion for mountains and trekking, which was really encouraging for me. The cook did his best to provide us with the nice dishes as far as it could be done.  All the staff on the trek acted professionally in every situation, even when my trek partner was forced to make decision to return with the porters. The cook and the Guide did their best to serve me the food I needed on the last two days of the trek, although we didn’t carry any cooking equipment with us. The tent and sleeping bags we were given were also just right for the wind and weather conditions. Altogether an amazing experience I won’t forget.
