Manali: Deo Tibba and Hamta pass 8 days
Manali, so named from the Hindu God Manu, who like Noah of the Bible survived a Great flood and is believed to reside here.  This area of Kullu Valley is also known as the Valley of the Gods as every village has its own deity. It is popular for skiing and surrounded by lush wooden slopes and majestic snow covered peaks. Most favourite mountain destination of tourist from all across India. Also known as Chamonix of India.
Mountain destination suitable for any type of adventure activities such as Para gliding, Skiing, Snowboarding, Trekking, Rafting, Rock climbing, mountain biking. Climbing expeditions.
Here is some of most popular trek liked by all. Treks in around Manali varies from one day hikes to maximum of 5 days treks. Each trek presents a spectacular sight of nature.
Beas Kund believe to be source of river Beas. can reach to this tiny lake from Solang.  A good hikers can make this trek in one day.
Brigu Lake above Vashisht village present a gorgeous sights of Pir Panjal and Dhauladhar range of lower Himalaya. Panoramic view of mountains far across the horizon, can have a good sight of Hanuman Tibba, Maker Beh, and Shikhar Beh peak above 6000 mtrs. Towards Hamta valley a gorgeous view of Deo Tibba, Indrasan peak.The best trek to do in Manali region is Hamta pass trek, Malana village trek, Deo Tibba base camp trek, and Chandratal lake trek.

This tour is especially designed for those who have never done any trekking and have a great desire to do trekking in Manali area.
This trip starts from Manali and we drive upto Sethan village upto base camp of Deo Tibba and descent down to Chhika area and climb up to Hamta pass 4268 m. and than descend down to Chatru and we drive back to Manali by jeep.
Although this trek is moderate to strenuous trek those making is first time what slowly and gradually we will complete this trek for you and fulfill your first trekking experience in Manali area.

Deo Tibba and Hamta pass Trek Itinerary

Day 1 Drive Manali – Sethan 2900m.

Today after breakfast  we drive to Prini village and explore the insight of Prini temple. Continue to drive through pine forest and having a spectacular views of pin panjal mountains we reach at Sethan 2900 m village. The people of this village are Buddhist traditionally a nomadic people lives during summer times cultivating vegetables, milk product. Due to severe condition of winter people of this village living in valley floor. We camp overnight here and witness or visit one of family.

 

Day 2 Sethan - Rauli khol trek

Today after breakfast we start our trek to Rauli Khol. We start trek through the fields and climb gradually through oak trek and Birch wood. We finally reach above tree line into lush meadows with hundreds of wild frowers. A wonderful campsite with panoramic view of valley below and snow capped mountains.

 

Day 3 Rauli khol - Base camp trek

Today after breakfast we trek along the left ridges of Jobri nallah. Along the trails and surroundings numerous medicinal plants and herbs can be found. The first glimpses of Deo Tibba thorn can be seen from here. We descend down to  this hanging valley. Overnight camp.

 

Day 4 Base camp - Chikka trek

Today after breakfast we trek along the Jobri stream and pass number of sheperds rock shelters, can occasionally meet sheperds in this high valley summer time looking after their flocks of sheep. We stop occasionally for tea at their rock shelters. After an hours of trek now trails descend deep in to chhika valley. Overnight camp at Chhika in Hamta valley.

Day 5 Chikka - Balu ka gera  trek

Today after breakfast We trek along the hamta stream. The trails are well natural decorated with flowers and herbs. Right of Hamta river a rock cliff seeking for rock climbers to stamp foot prints. Yet these cliffs are virgin. We trek along the medows and cross stream and rocky trails until Jwara. Where shepers and Gujjar settled during summer time grazing their buffalos and cows. Now trail climb gently along the stream and we approach to our campsite at Balu ka gera.

Day 6 balu ka gera - Hamta pass 4268m- Shira gorh trek

Today after breakfast we trek to  Hamta pass. From Hamta pass fantastic view of Inderkila, Deo Tibba (6001m) and Indersan (6220m). Which is superb to see? After crossing the Hamta pass, one enters the Lahoul valley. Walk down to the campsite near by the stream. Overnight stay in a camp.

 

Day 7 Shira gorh - Chatru trek

Cross-stream near the camp and follow the right bank until it joins with the Chandra River. Again, cross the same stream by small wooden bridge. Now follow the left bank of Chandra River. 30 minutes later a motor able bridge to be cross to reach at the campsite of Chhatru. Overnight stay in camp.

 

Day 8 Chatru - Manali drive

Drive back to Manali over Rohtang la pass. Enroute  a magnificient view of Hanuman Tibba peak (5990 mtrs).
