Spiti to Kinnaur
Spiti excursion, trekking in Pin valley
Spiti is located on the Tibetan border enclosed on the South East by Tibet, North West by Ladakh, West by Lahoul and Kullu. Geologically and archeologically Spiti valley
is living museum. Spiti valley is formed by the Spiti river, which rises on the slopes of Kunzom pass (4551m) and ends at
the river confluence with Pare-Chu near Sumdo. The length of the valley is about 150km. Enroute Spiti river receives the water
of many streams: Guindi Nala, Parilungbi Chu, pin river and Lingti river. There are two routes to Spiti, one over Rohtang-pass
(3978m/13050ft) and Kunzom pass and other via Shimla, Rampur
and Kinnaur

01: Delhi – Manali. 14-16 hrs. By luxury coach. Depart New Delhi at 18:00 hrs. arrival Manali next morning at 10:00

02: at Manali: Acclimatisation
sight
seeing in around Manali. Visit Hadimba temple, vashisht hot spring, hadimba temple, Manu temple and Tibetan monastery.
Day
03: Manali: sight seeing –Naggar castel, Roerich art gallery.

04: Manali (2040 mtrs.)- Lossar (4,000 mtrs.)- Kaza (3600 mtrs ) 10 hrs. drive by jeep.
Drive
to Kaza, enroute Kunzom la pass, short walk to Balamo pass. To have glimpse of Chandratal lake. lunch at Losar, visiti monastery
at Losar.Overnight camp at Kaza.
Day
05: Kaza – Kee – Kibber – Dhankar – Tabo -Hikkim (SAGNAM) 8/9 hrs.
After
an early breakfast drive on the link road and climb steeply to a most incredibly
situated gompa at Kee. Visit of Kibber, drive to Lalung, Dankhar, and Tabo. Visit of all these monasteries. Finally drive
to Pin valley. Camp before Hikkim or camp at Sagnam at Pin valley.

06: Hikkim /Sagnam – Tilling. 3 / 4 hrs. Trek start.
Visit
of Kungri gompa, trek to Khar village and further to Tilling. Overnight camp at Tiling beside stream.
Day
07: Tilling – Mud Pharka. 5 / 6 hrs. trek

to Mud Pharkha, along the Pin river. Overnight camp.
Day
08: Mud Pharka – base camp (balder) 5/6 hrs. trek.
Trek
to base camp – Balder below Bhawa pass. Overnight camp.
Day
09: base camp – Kara over Bhawa pass (4640 mtrs.) 6 /7 hrs. trek

of Bhawa pass to Kara. Overnight camp at Kara.
Day
10: Kara – Gulling. 5/6 hrs. trek.
Trek
from Kara to Gulling. Overnight camp at Gulling.
Day
11: Gulling – Kafnu – Sarahan 7/8 hrs. trek and drive.
Descend
to Kafnu village. Pick up by jeep and drive to Sarahan. Visit of Bhimakali temple. Overnight camp at Sarahan, just above cricket
ground.
Day
12: Sarahan – Shimla 192 kms. Drive 6/7 hrs.
drive
by jeep to Shimla passing Narkanda, Kufri. Transfer to hotel at Shimla.
