Kanamo Peak Climbing with Spiti Valley Trek - 21 Days

Introduction:
Kanamo peak 5974m rising above Kibber and Tashi Gang village of Spiti. To the locals of Spitian KA mean White or Auspecious and NAMO means Lady or Hostess. Simply it means White Lady. Kanamo doesnt ask any technical requirements to climb, yet its adventurous to climb on scree and rocky patches. The North face of this peak is abondoned with glacier. We climb by South face. Surrounded by Kibber Wildlife Sanctuary - the entire region is home of Himalayn Ibex, Blue sheep, Tibetan wolves and elegent Snow Leopard. Some of animal are common to see in this region.
In our tour we set off from lush green town of Shimla to Kafnoo at Kinnaur. We trek through dense forest and cross Bhaba pass and enter in high mountain desert of Spiti. We traverse through Pin valley. We visit ancient villages and travel to Lalung in Lingti valley for our second phase of trek. We cross several villages located above 4000m. Continue to Tashi Gang where we established our base camp for Kanamo peak. After climbing peak we travel to Manali by crossing Kunzom la pass and Rohtang pass.

Day 01.: Arrival in New Delhi.

Day 02:  New Delhi – Kalka ( Shatabdi express train) Kalka - Shimla ( Himalayan queen)

Day 03: Shimla.

Day 04: Shimla - Kafnoo

Day 05: Kafnoo – Muling. Trek.

Day 06: Muling – Kara - Phustriang. Trek.

Day 07: Phustriang – Baldhar. Trek.

Day 08: Baldhar – Mudh. trek.

Day 09: Mudh – Tabo – Dankhar - Lalung. Drive.

Day 10: Lalung – Dimul. Trek.

Day 11: Dimul – Komic. Trek.

Day 12: Komic – Langza - Rangrik. Trek.

Day 13: Rangrik – Kee - Tashi gang.

Day 14: Tashi gang – base camp. Trek.

Day 15: Base camp – summit Kanamo 5964m. trek.

Day 16: Base camp – Kibber (4205m). trek.

Day 17: Kibber – Manali. Drive.

Day 18: An extra day to accomodate the travel and trek schedule.

Day 19: Manali.

Day 20: Manali – New Delhi.

Day 21: New Delhi -home town.

21 days Ex-New Delhi to New Delhi - Cost Includes:

·         3 star hotel accommodations at New Delhi, Shimla and Manali.

·         Transportations by jeep: Shimla - Kafnoo, Kibber - Manali, Sight seeing of Spiti valley, Manali - New Delhi by super deluxe bus.
