Overview

Kanamo peak 5974m rising above Kibber and Tashi Gang village of Spiti. To the locals of Spitian KA mean White or Auspecious and NAMO means Lady or Hostess. Simply it means White Lady. Kanamo doesnt ask any technical requirements to climb, yet its adventurous to climb on scree and rocky patches. The North face of this peak is abondoned with glacier. We climb by South face. Surrounded by Kibber Wildlife Sanctuary - the entire region is home of Himalayn Ibex, Blue sheep, Tibetan wolves and elegent Snow Leopard. Some of animal are common to see in this region.

In our tour we set off from lush green town of Shimla to Kafnoo at Kinnaur. We trek through dense forest and cross Bhaba pass and enter in high mountain desert of Spiti. We traverse through Pin valley. We visit ancient villages and travel to Lalung in Lingti valley for our second phase of trek. We cross several villages located above 4000m. Continue to Tashi Gang where we established our base camp for Kanamo peak. After climbing peak we travel to Manali by crossing Kunzom la pass and Rohtang pass.

OUTLINE TREK ITINERARY

Day 1: Manali - Kunzum la - Rangrik
Day 2: Rangrik to Kee, Trek to Gete. Drive 20 minutes, trek 5- 6 hrs.
Day 3: Gete to Base camp
Day 4: At Base camp
Day 5: Summit of Kanamo
Day 6: Base to Tashi Gang trek.
Day 7: Drive to Manali.

ü  6 nights camp with all camping facilities.  3 men spacious 4 season tents for 2,  sleeping bags, foam mattresses, dining tent, trekking poles & safety gears.

ü  All meal during trek - starts with bed tea to breakfast, lunch, 3 course dinner, tea /coffee, snacks. from Indian, Tibetan, Chinese to continental cuisine.
ü  Support staff: Qualified climbing guide, cook & camp crew.
ü  Trekking mules/horses for porterage of your luggage and trekking gear.
ü  Camping fee,  trekking permits, peak fee.
