We take one of the least explored trekking routes to Zanskar and pass through one of the remotest villages and meet with locals along the route. Lakes, high passes, deep gorges and an adventurous trail of the Zanskar. Simply adventurous India trekking. After crossing numerous passes we arrive at Padum and explore the area. Finally, at Yulchung we end our trek and drive to Leh along the Indus River. An adventurous trek in Zanskar of the Himalayan kingdom.
After 2 - 3 days of good acclimatization in Leh, we drive on one of the most scenic road journey, the Leh - Manali highway. Meeting the horseman and crew to start Zanskar trek, we follow the Tsarap Chu and cross some small passes to reach Shade village, one of the remotest villages in the Zanskar. Passing through the rugged wilderness than high passes we enter in Zangla gorge and cross stunning landscape to reach Yulchung / Photoksar the road head and drive back to Leh visiting Lamayuru and Alchi, two of the ancient villages in Ladakh. We have trekked Zanskar for 25 years and now introduce this route for during springtime.
